My new sofa...AND I wish I was going home here tonight

After many months of debating, I have decided to *finally* upgrade my living room from a hodge-podge of inherited student furniture and Ikea pieces (although I do love Ikea) to something a bit more adult-like, and, well, me. Due to budgetary considerations this will be a long work-in-progress, but I've recently purchased a new (my first!) sofa. It's a gorgeous Ethan Allen piece suitable for urban living (i.e. tiny condos), and I am dreaming of decorating possibilities upon its arrival in mid-April 2010. Here are a couple pictures I took in the Ethan Allen show room this past Saturday:

2.JPGI've ordered it in the grey material with dark wood legs (both shown in the samples resting on the sofa) and brass nail head trim around the bottom. I am very excited and cannot wait to have it delivered come April!

In light of my relatively new obsession with decorating (because I never, ever do anything half-way), I have been scouring the internet during my limited free time for ideas. Recently Erin McLaughlin's living room captured my attention and my heart:

Erin is the editor-in-chief of Canada's Style At Home magazine (seriously cool job!), and lives in a renovated narrow Victorian home in midtown Toronto. Below are two pictures of her and her very pretty and organized bedroom; check out the rest of her beautiful home here.

I would love to get to know this woman - she's becoming a bit of a role model for me. Simply fabulous!

Exceptional webpage. My class mates and I were just discussing this the other night. Also your webpage looks great on my old laptop. Now thats uncommon. Nice work.

Outsourcing site that has more than just the normal government projects listed. Looks good.
